Bardon landscape design for a sloped block

The landscape design for this newly renovated, architecturally designed Bardon home preserves the stunning views over Mt Coot-tha and extends the entertainment area with a contemporary twist.

Nestled into the bank, the new timber podium anchored into the hill is cantilevered over the slope.  Timber and stainless steel stairs dominate the gradient and the slight five degree out-turn of the balustrade creates interest and enhances the organic flow of the path and the appeal of the entertaining deck above.

Limited construction access influenced the design elements and materials.  Strong themes of timber and stainless steel are used in the front and rear design of the house, and careful planning ensures the landscape design complements the new architecturally designed renovation.
